Thanksgiving Break Is Next Week

Just a friendly reminder that next week there is no school for the Thanksgiving holiday. Please enjoy your friends and family and take advantage of the holiday time off. We will see students back on November 28th.

Halloween Candy

Parents, we need your help. Now that Halloween has come and gone, please check your students lunches and backpacks and leave the Halloween candy at home. Candy sharing and eating at the wrong time is becoming an issue.

Basketball Camp This Weekend At Davis High

Any plans for this weekend?  I just wanted to share a great local opportunity for a youth basketball camp here at our own Davis Senior High School!  It is for 4th - 8th grade boys and girls and is on Saturday the 19th - Sunday the 20th from 9 am - 12 pm each day.  The camp is run by Heather Highshoe, the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach, and her varsity basketball team.  Parents who have had kids attend in previous years have said that it is very organized and lots of fun!  This is a fundraiser for the girl's high school program so your participation would help your child build their fundamental basketball skills and help support the high school program!

Please see the attached flyers for registration information.

The Willett Spelling Bee Is Back

The Willett Spelling Bee is back for 2022/23. Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades will begin classroom competitions for interested students over the next few weeks. Classroom champions will then go forward to compete in the school competition on January 19th. The school champion qualifies for the California Regional Spelling Bee semifinals. If the Willett champion makes it past the semifinals, the next step is the California Regional Spelling Bee. The California regional champion that advances to the Scripps National Spelling Bee. So exciting!

We Want Your Games

Do you have unused board games, card games, etc. Willett would love to have them. We are collecting used games to use during lunch time when we are on a rainy day schedule. If you have a used game that you no longer use, please donate the game to Willett to be used as a lunchtime activity.

Lost & Found

As the weather has been changing, we have collected a large number of water bottles, coats, jackets, and sweatshirts in our lost and found. If your student has been missing an item, please swing by the old mpr and ask to take a look. Weather permitting, we will bring the lost & found items out during conference week for families to check.
