TK/Kinder Information Night
Families who have students entering Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten are invited to our information night on Tuesday, February 20th at 6:00 p.m. in the new MPR. A review of the program, meeting with the teachers, and enrollment questions will be addressed.

Library Overdue Notices Next Week
Next week, Mr. Fluetsch will be emailing notices for students who have library books more than 1 month overdue. If you get a notice, please help your child look for their missing book(s) and return them to Willett. Library books may be returned directly to the library, placed in the blue bin near the parking lot and bike racks or returned to the classroom.

Thank you PTA for the delicious lunch you provided for the Willett staff on Valentine’s Day. It was a wonderful lunch that we all enjoyed. We are so appreciative of the meal.
We Need Your Rubik's Cubes
Do you have an old Rubik’s cube lying around? Are you tired of trying to solve it? You can donate any Rubik’s cube to Willett to be used on rainy days during lunch. As long as it is complete and usable, we will gladly reuse it during rainy day lunch.
DHS WISTEM Mathelon And STEM Fair
The Davis Senior High School Women in STEM Club is hosting their 4th annual Mathalon and STEM fair on Saturday, April 13th at Davis HIgh School. This is a fun opportunity for students (3rd-8th grade) to compete in a friendly math competition and introduce students to the exciting world of math and STEM. There will be prizes for winners! Education Through Music Family Hour
Come join other Willett families, as well as Caezar Chavez families for a family fun event with music, movement, and story-telling for grades K-5 on Friday, February 23rd at Chavez Elementary. (older/younger siblings welcome)
Sponsored by the Davis School Arts Foundation Grant. Hosted by your music teacher, Mrs. Cooley, and friends from the non-profit Richards Institute of Education and Research.

Da Vinci Family Nights For 6th Graders
Interested in joining Da Vinci Charter Academy? Please join us for one of our family information nights at 6pm on either Thursday, February 15th or Wednesday February 21st at Da Vinci High School (1400 E. 8th Street). At this event, you’ll hear from Da Vinci students about the benefits of our program. We encourage you to bring your students with you to the presentation. Questions? Attendance (Did You Know?)
Nationally, Kindergarten and 1st grade classes often have absenteeism rates as high as those in high school. Many of these absences are excused, but they still add up to lost time in the classroom.

This PEP talk is centered around learning parenting skills to help improve your relationship with your child. PRIDE skills (P-Praise, R-Reflect, I-Imitate, D-Describe, E-Enjoy) are helpful in teaching children which behaviors are desired through the use of selective attention.
