Pickup And Drop Off Reminder
Attention parents, please remember that the front parking lot is for staff use only before school, during school, and after school. Parents need to park off site and walk their students on campus. There have also been some families who are entering the parking lot in their cars from the exit. This poses a danger to all who are leaving the lot and to others who may be walking their students out near that exit. For student safety, please walk students on to campus and do not use the parking lot to drop off or pick up students.
CHiP’s For Kids Toy Drive
Once a year, the California Highway Patrol conducts a toy drive. “CHiP’s for Kids”, is a statewide charitable event to benefit the children of California and help provide a happy holiday to families in need. CHiP’s for Kids has collected thousands of toys and distributed them back into the communities we serve. A crucial part of CHiP’s for Kids success is the donations and support we receive from community members and from local businesses.
On Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 at 1:30 on the blacktop, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Woodland Area office will begin collecting toys. If your family would like to participate, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to school and stuff the patrol car with your donated gift. Your participation would be greatly appreciated.
Student Council Is Back At Willett
Student council presents a unique opportunity for intermediate students to learn organization, leadership, and teamwork skills. Students on the student council will help plan activities for the school. Student council will meet once a month during the intermediate lunch from 12:15-12:45 and will be led by Mrs. Hayes and Mrs. Inouye. 5th and 6th graders are invited to bring their lunch and come to the meetings if they are interested.
Halloween Candy
Parents, we need your help. Now that Halloween has come and gone, please check your students lunches and backpacks and leave the Halloween candy at home. Candy sharing and eating at the wrong time is becoming an issue.
Lost & Found
As the weather has been changing, we have collected a large number of water bottles, coats, jackets, and sweatshirts in our lost and found. If your student has been missing an item, please swing by the old mpr and ask to take a look. Weather permitting, we will bring the lost & found items out during the week leading up to the winter break.
